Cooper, Ward to Host Grant Workshop for Municipalities, Nonprofits
April 3, 2025
DELMONT — Rep. Jill Cooper (R-Westmoreland) and Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward (R-Westmoreland) are hosting a grant workshop to help local governments and nonprofits learn the basics of grant writing and tips to prepare successful grant applications. The workshop will be held Wednesday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Delmont Fire Hall on State Route 66.
“Applying for grants can be a complicated process, and our municipalities and nonprofits don’t always have people who know the ins and outs of the application process,” Cooper said. “Sen. Ward and I are bringing in the experts to help folks learn the ropes and hopefully give them better chances to bring back crucial grant funding to our area.”
“To help our community better partner with government, I am pleased to be able to work with Rep. Cooper to provide this grant workshop for municipalities and nonprofits,” said Ward. “Bringing subject matter experts to Westmoreland to help navigate and understand the grant application process is an important step to secure funding from the state.”
Guest speakers include experts from Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development, Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, a Pennsylvania Senate funding and resource specialist and a Westmoreland County commissioner.
Reservations are required for this event. Reserve your spot by calling 724-387-9113.
