Cooper to Host Seniors for Safe Driving Event June 17
May 30, 2025
MURRYSVILE – Rep. Jill Cooper (R-Westmoreland) announced she will be hosting her Seniors for Safe Driving event on Tuesday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Murrysville Senior Center – located at 3091 Carson Ave. in Murrysville.
“It’s an honor to host this event once again to ensure seniors receive the most up-to-date information to keep them and their loved ones safe on the roads,” said Cooper. “Safe driving is a vital part of maintaining independence as we age, and this course helps empower our seniors with the knowledge and confidence they need behind the wheel. I encourage all eligible drivers to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.”
The Seniors for Safe Driving course presents a classroom study for older Pennsylvanians focusing on safety and updates to traffic laws and patterns. This event is for drivers 55 years of age or older, and the fee is $17 payable to Seniors for Safe Driving. Drivers who complete the course may be eligible to receive a discount on their auto insurance premium for a period of three years. No exam will be given, and the course is classroom instruction only.
Constituents interested in attending are asked to register by calling Seniors for Safe Driving directly at 1-800-559-4880. Anyone with questions is asked to call Cooper’s Export district office at 724-387-9113.
